School of Biblical Counseling παρακλεο (Parakleo)

The Church today is in great need of personal discipleship, the ability to admonish one another, and to comfort those who suffer. The name of the school – Parakleo – reflects our calling to continue the ministry of the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit: to comfort and admonish one another.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort [παράκλησις], who comforts [παρακαλέω] us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort [παρακαλέω] those in any trouble with the comfort [παράκλησις] we ourselves receive from God.” 2 Cor. 1:3–4
