Word from the President of KTS Board

Chairman of the KTS Board
Chairman of the KTS Board
A lighthouse in the raging sea! It is what I think of when I consider and pray for Kyiv Theological Seminary!
It is a lighthouse in a still challenging spiritual environment. KTS is thirty years old, but only a few years younger than the independent country of Ukraine.
The seminary was founded in 1995 and it continues to be a lighthouse in a time when, after several generations of ruthless persecution, evangelicals lost their theological way to tradition and legalism, and were left without training and qualified leaders.
The seminary stood firm in the face of renewed threats from the pro-Moscow government. KTS keeps its high standing in the time of brutal war and the disillusionment brought on by constant bombing, death and destruction. It is God's lighthouse, shining the light of the best evangelical theology, empowered by the grand schools of Dallas Theological Seminary and Talbot School of Theology (BIOLA University).
Kyiv Theological Seminary is God's project made possible by God's best and most perceptive people, the friends of the Seminary - it demonstrates amazingly high efficiency and stability! Everyone who invests in KTS is astounded by the level of its return to the Kingdom of God!
Buffeted by the winds and storms of drastic changes in Ukraine and the world, by the waves of terrifying historical power, KTS stands firm on the Biblical foundation and readily proclaims the Victory and Grace of Jesus Christ in all circumstances and against all odds.
Anyone who cares to look would see the undeniable pedigree of historic Christianity - its best evangelical qualities. A constellation of highly educated and exceptionally qualified teachers, gifted preachers joyfully serving in the freedom of the Holy Spirit. Their scholarship easily rivals that of secular universities, and the KTS library is a unique collection unlike any other theological institution in the former USSR. It attracts government officials and leaders of other Christian denominations in Ukraine.
Every time I walk the stairs and halls of KTS, I remember David's words: "I rejoiced when they said to me, 'Let us go into the house of the Lord.'" This feeling of God's presence never leaves me in this marvelously fruitful place.
Thousands of KTS graduates - pastors, teachers and missionaries - are bringing the legacy of light and freedom in Christ to the remotest parts of the former USSR and even to the wider world.
How on earth is this possible with such limited resources, terrible odds and terrifying challenges?
Just come and see what God is doing in Kyiv Theological Seminary! Join its ranks as a student, as a friend, as a fellow warrior in the advancement of the Kingdom of God!
