Program Director

The Church is God's institution, created to save sinners and bring them into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. No theological education institution will ever replace the local church. We, by God’s mercy, help equip and develop the Christian community. We believe that the Lord placed our institute in a strategic place for partnership with Kiev Theological Seminary and local churches in order to meet the critical need for trained workers for churches.

Why the Church Ministries Institute?
the training takes place in churches, while the students continue to live and work in their local community. The prepared, spiritually-mature church participates in the growing movement to create new churches.
Ministries – the combination of the academic program and church practice is a distinctive feature of our institute, which allows students to learn while at the same time gaining irreplaceable, practical experience in ministry.
Institute – a high academic level of education, because our God is a God of high standards. The program is integrated with the training courses of the KTS. Some courses can be taken online (Moodle platform).

We invite you to join the exploration of the multifaceted world of theology for quality spiritual growth and productive service in the church and beyond!

About Program

Mission:
The mission of Church Ministries Institute is to assist the churches in Eurasia in training their workers for equipping and developing churches, ready for the planting of new churches in different cultures.

Vision:
The vision of the program is the organization of a theological education in local churches or online.
The Church Ministry Institute offers students a unique opportunity to learn how to systematically study God's Word in their home church without interruption from family and work, and also to continue their studies at Kiev Theological Seminary. Through intensive biblical instruction, with an emphasis on spiritual development and practical ministry in the local church, students are prepared for active participation in the ministry of evangelism and administration of the church.

Goals:

  1. To give a basic theological education, so that the student can be involved in local church ministry, according to his spiritual gift.
  2. To help the student with a humble heart to interact with the leaders of the local church in the spiritual growth of believers.
  3. To cultivate in the student compassion for sinners and a deep desire to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  4. To prepare the student to make practical application of the biblical and theological principles of God's Word in the formation of his character as a servant.
  5. To teach the student the skills of transferring his knowledge and experience of serving to other workers of the church.

Core values:

  1. We value Bible study based in the local church. It is the church that is "the pillar and foundation of the truth", and it is the duty of the ministers of the church to prepare the members of the church for ministry. Therefore, the program we offer includes local churches in the process of teaching (Ephesians 4:11-12, 1 Timothy 3:15).
  2. We value distance learning. Regardless of where the student lives, the teacher can contribute to his spiritual growth, ystematizing biblical knowledge for practical application in church ministry (Philippians 1:27, 1 Thessalonians 4:1).
  3. We value the multiplication of workers, who are trained to do ministry. Our goal is to train faithful members of the church in such a way that they can in turn teach other people. The Church can achieve its goal only when it multiplies its disciples (Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Timothy 2:2).
  4. We value the development of spiritual character qualities. Only those who follow in the footsteps of Christ can be truly fruitful teachers, capable of leading others to follow Christ in this sinful world. Knowledge is important, but in the Kingdom of God, the condition of the believer's heart is equally important (John 15:4-5, 2 Thessalonians 3:7-13, Titus 2:11-12).
  5. We value dedication to practical ministry. Each student involved in the program of the institute must be ready to implement the knowledge they receive in evangelism, teaching others, and serving in the church according to his gift from God (1  Corinthians 12:4-11, 14:12).
  6. We value true Bible teaching. We expect each student to understand the basic doctrines of the Word of God and to have the ability to detect false teaching and resist it, studying the Bible so that they can feed themselves and others (1 Peter 3:15, 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:16-17).
