Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving on behalf of students, faculty, and staff of Kyiv Theological Seminary. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for God’s blessings in our lives. And you are one of His blessings. You have been our partners in the ministry of theological education from the time you first heard about us until now.
Your prayers and support enable us to prepare believers to serve Christ in various contexts of life as God’s instruments of peace. We are thankful for your commitment to God’s work in Ukraine, which in fact, by God’s grace, has a much wider international impact. We are thankful for knowing you because of Christ and we pray with joy for all of you (see Philippians 1:4-5).
This past year has been challenging for our school and our country. Yet our faithful God has evinced His grace in every situation (see 2 Corinthians 9:8). He protected us and provided for our needs, and even more, he expanded the influence of the Gospel ministry of which our students and graduates take part.
We know that by God’s grace we can together withstand difficult times. Our hope is in God. Our faith is in His Word. Our confidence is in the power of the Gospel to transform the heart of an individual and the lives of many.
We pray for you to see His helping hand in your life. May the Thanksgiving celebration be a celebration of His faithfulness. Just as we sing in the old hymn, Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee, Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not, As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.
What a great God we serve! He is faithful. His mercies are many. His kindness is enduring. His glory is supreme.
With love in Christ,
Ruslan Khmyz
